Zoph 0.9.21 released

21 Apr 2022 by jeroen

Zoph 0.9.21 is a release that contains a lot of work outside the view of the users. I've made many changes in the background of Zoph to modernise Zoph's code and to make it easier testable. Now almost 70% of Zoph's code is executed and tested with every change. I've migrated more pages to templates, a project that has already taken years, but is now approaching finalisation.

As of this version, the installation of Zoph is much simplified, and after copying the PHP-files in place, the proces can be done via the web interface. This should enable less tech-savvy users to be able to install Zoph.

I have also updated the 'default' colour scheme of Zoph to something that looks less dated (read: black and white) than the old one.

Several bugs were fixed in this release, so I am recommending everyone to upgrade to this release.

As of this release PHP 8.1 is supported, although PHP 8.0 is still the minimum required.

Some improvements were done to MySQL compatibility - nevertheless MariaDB is still the recommended database.

The full changelog can be found in the changelog. You can download Zoph from the Gitlab site.
